The Rainbow Village by Victor Pancu from Romania

The Rainbow Village

‘’I was at school. I remember that I was reading a book. Then, suddenly, the Sun disappeared. A wave of water, bigger than the school was at 100 meters of us. I was praying for my life. After this, I was on a big piece of wood, floating in the middle of the ocean. I was soaked, cold. All around me was blue. First, I thanked God that I’m okay. I sailed for 2 days, when I saw a ladder. I swam to the point where the ladder was. I looked up to see where it goes. It was going over the clouds. I climbed it. I was so amazed to see there houses, trees, people ,or... well a kind of people. They were blue with some little rainbow wings. Instead of cars they were using unicorns. They were amazed to see me as I was to see them. I stayed over the night at the: ’’Old Rainbow Inn’. I was broke. I couldn’t pay, but the landlord let me in.’’
